ABOUT  -  ANNABEL BOND

As a dedicated and experienced professional, my career in the maritime industry began with Reederei Nord Ship Management LTD in Limassol, Cyprus, where I served as a Crewing Assistant. This role provided me with invaluable insights into the operations of the Crewing department and a foundational understanding of the interconnected workings of various departments.

In July 2014, I transitioned to Reederei Nord's new office in Amsterdam, where I currently hold the position of Purchasing Officer. Initially responsible for four tanker vessels, I have expanded my portfolio to six vessels. My role encompasses overseeing three tanker Dry Docks consecutively and managing the procurement of all required spares, stores, and services.

Beyond my primary duties in Purchasing, I have actively participated in numerous projects to enhance seafarers' well-being on board. My contributions include implementing significant changes to our IMS and developing new processes and forms to ensure compliance with ISO 14001:2015 standards.

In my pursuit of continuous professional development, I am currently preparing for the PQE examinations through the International Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS).

Promotion to Purchasing Manager

I am thrilled to announce my promotion to Purchasing Manager, a role that recognizes my commitment, expertise, and contributions to Reederei Nord. In this capacity, I will leverage my extensive experience to drive efficiency and innovation within the purchasing department, ensuring the seamless operation of our fleet.

As Purchasing Manager, my priorities include:

  • Streamlining procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strengthening supplier relationships to secure the best quality and value for our vessels.
